Carnival - The Carnival is celebrated throughout Spain, in Alicante celebrations include floats parading on the streets, music and street dancing.

April
Santa Faz Pilgrimage - The second largest pilgrimage in Spain with over 200,000 people taking part every year, an 8km journey from the town hall to the monastery with a traditional breakfast along the way!

June
Saint John's Bonfires - Celebrations of the summer solstice last 5 days and start on the night of the 20th with large papier mâché and wooden sculptures being erected. Four days later they are burnt alongside a large firework display and various other entertainments and sporting events.

Medieval Market - This great market takes place  every year at the end of June after the Saint John's bonfires celebrations.

July - August
Summer Festival (Festival de Verano de Alicante) - This festival taking place in Paseo del Puerto consist of two months of events including dance, theatre, music and performing arts.
