Provincial Archaeological Museum (MARQ), Plaça. Dr. Gómez Ulla
Opening Hours: Tues-Sat 10-19, Sundays & Holidays 10-14; closed on Mondays.
The extremely valuable collection housed here consists of 81,000 pieces dating from the Stone Age to the Medieval times, the most important piece among them being the Lady of Guardamar from the Iberian settlement of Cabezo Lucero.

The CAPA Collection, at the Santa Barbara Castle
Opening hours: Tues-Sun 10-14 and 16-19 (17-20 in summer); Sundays 10-15; closed on Mondays and Sunday afternoons.
The collection includes works dating from the 19th and 20th century by artists of the calibre of Benlliure, Macho, Inurria, Oteiza, Dalí, etc.

Gravina Fine Art Museum MUBAG, Calle Gravina, 13-15
Opening hours: Tues-Sat 10-14 and 16-20; Sundays & Bank Holidays 10-14; closed on Mondays.
On display: some 500 pieces dating from the Middle Ages up until 1920. The exhibition includes the works of artists such as Rodrigo de Osona, Salzillo, Vicente López, Antonio Gisbert, Joaquín Agrasot, Xavier Soler, Eusebio Sempere and Emilio Varela among others.

Nativity Scene Museum, Plaza Quijano
Opening hours: Tues-Sat 10-14 and 16.30-19.30 (17-20 in summer); closed Saturday afternoons, Sundays & Mondays.
Located in a typical 19th century house, the museum exhibits a collection of nativity scenes showing episodes from the life of Christ made by some of the finest Spanish nativity artists. There is also a life-sized nativity scene, and other nativities from other parts of the world.

Bonfire Festivities Museum,  Rambla de Mendez Nunez
Opening Hours: Tues-Sat 10-14 and 17-20; Sundays & Bank Holidays 10-14; closed on Sunday afternoons and Mondays.
This museum is dedicated to Alicante´s most popular festival which is the Bonfire of San Juan (Hogueras de San Juan). On display: a great exhibition of photographs from throughout the years, the Ninots indultats (the paper mache dolls that escaped the bonfire flames), a collection of traditional costumes, advertising posters, etc. as well as an audio-visual hall.

Alicante Bullfighting Museum, Plaza del Toros
Opening hours: Tues-Fri 10.30-13.30 and 17-20; Saturday 10.30-13.30; closed on Sundays, Mondays and Holidays
On display: a permanent exhibition dedicated to the most renowned local bullfighters including Vicente Blau, Francisco Antón, José María Manzanares and Luis Francisco Esplá.

Pozos de Garrigos - Water Museum,
Opening hours: Tues-Fri 10.30-13.30 and 17-20; Saturday 10.30-13.30. Closed on Sundays, Mondays and Bank Holidays.
Wells carved into the rocks to collect water supplies. Under the wells (pozos) is the Water Museum with a curious collection of traditional ceramic recipients for water and typical local pottery items.
