Malaga travel guide

Malaga, situated in Southern Spain on the Mediterranean Sea, is a major coastal city in Andalusia. The gateway to the Costa del Sol, Malaga itself is a fascinating place that behind the modern external shell holds an enchanting historic centre with picturesque narrow streets, ochre coloured buildings and a majestic unfinished Gothic Cathedral. Malaga was the birth place of Pablo Picasso and a museum dedicated to his work opened in 2003. The city also offers interesting museums, great shops and fantastic city beaches lined with tapas restaurants. As well as a cultural centre Malaga has a vibrant nightlife and is a good place to dine out. Tapas, small servings of typical food usually accompanied by a glass of wine, are a typical Andalusian tradition; a large variety of restaurants offer tapas and wine at reasonable prices. If is fresh fish you are after, El Paso, a typical fishing village east of the city is the place for you.
