Around Malaga

By bus – buses are a cheap transport system to go around Costa del Sol. Service is frequent between Malaga and the main towns of the surrounding region as It is the only public transport into the smaller surrounding villages.

By taxi – This is a good way to get around as it is inexpensive and solves the parking problem, however they can be a bit slow and hard to find during rush hour especially in the summer.

By train - The train service is limited as it only connects Malaga with certain places such as Torremolinos, Benalmádena or Fuengirla but is inexpensive and convenient.

By car – this is generally an easy way to get around and car hire is not expensive due to the intense competition among the many car companies. However traffic can be intense and parking expensive, it is always advisable not to leave valuables in the car as car theft is prime in this area.

Other ways to get around within the city are scooters, bikes and of course by walking.
