Minorca travel guide

Minorca is the most tranquil of the Balearic Islands and the least touristy. A large part of Minorca has been protected by the government to prevent wild tourist developments that hit the neighbouring islands of Ibiza and Majorca.
Minorca has over 100 beaches, interesting historic sites and some of the best seafood restaurants in the Balearic Archipelago.
The island also offers a wide range of sports, water sports and entertainment facilities.
Minorca is ideal for those who want to enjoy sunshine, beaches and unspoiled scenery while avoiding the crowds.
Ferry connections to the other islands in the archipelago are available daily as well as excursions to the Cabrera National Park, a group of 19 small islands belonging to the Balearic situated south of Majorca. Only daily visits are allowed and even an overnight stay in a private boat requires a permit.
