The City of Arts and Sciences,  Avenida Autovía del Saler
Opening Hours: Everyday from 10am to 8pm.
This superb complex covers some 350,000 square metres and consists of four main sections: the Hemispheric, the Oceanographic, the Príncipe Felipe Science Museum and the Palace of Arts which houses the new concert hall.

The Príncipe Felipe Museum of Science, Avenida Autovía del Saler
Opening Hours: Everyday from 10am to 8pm
This museum is part of the City of Arts and Sciences. The building itself is the work of local giant Santiago Calatrava and is supposed to takes the shape of a whale's ribcage. The structure itself is a towering mass of clear glass and white coloured steel. 

IVAM, The Modern Art Institute of Valencia, Calle Guillem de Castro, 118
Opening Hours: Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 9pm
The modern art institute, set in an ultra-modern building constructed on top of some ancient foundations of the city of Valencia, has a mix of temporary and permanent exhibition of 20th century art..

The Prehistoric Museum, Calle Corona, 36
Opening Hours: Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 8pm
A display of some of the most important archeological discoveries from palaeolithic times to the rise of the Roman empire. 
 

The Museum of Fine Arts, Calle San Pio V, 9
Opening Hours: Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 8pm
Valencia's museum of Fine Arts The great marvels contains vast collections of historic paintings and drawings. The artists on show include local Valencian greats from the renaissance period and also Ribera, Murillo, Goya and Sorolla.


The Fallas Museum, Plaza Monteolivete, 4
Opening Hours: Tuesday to Saturday 9am-2pm and 5pm-9pm
The museum displays the best images and memories of the Fallas, including the elaborate posters that advertised this magical festival down through the years. It also displays the "ninots" lucky enough to escape the flames of the night of St. Joseph.


Museum of 'Casa de las Rocas', Calle Rocas, 3
Opening Hours: Monday to Friday from 10am to 2 pm
Exhibition of the winning floats and chariots which paraded the city during Corpus Christi, which were known as 'rocas' or rocks. Also on display are the ancient suits, costumes, headwear and banners of the floats.

Blasco Ibañez' house, Isabel de Villena, 159
Opening Hours: Tuesday to Saturday 9am-2pm and 5pm-8pm
This museum set in the house of Valencia's most famous writer, Vicente Blasco Ibañez houses many of the writer's manuscripts, photos and portraits.

The Ceramics Museum, Calle Sagrario, 22, Manises
Opening Hours: 10am to 1pm, then from 4pm to 7pm.
This museum is dedicated to the art of making ceramics and offers  workshops and an expansive library.

The Rice Museum, Calle Rosario, 1
Opening Hours: Tuesday to Saturday 9am-2pm and 5pm-9pm.
Housed in a former working rice processing factory, this museum is full of demonstrations and information on the history of rice cultivation in Valencia.
